The internet marketing is appealing for many people because it allows the flexibility to build world wide customer base from the comfort of their home. The offline marketing can however be very helpful in jump starting a new business or new added service or product. The optimum output is achieved by constantly integrating online and the cheap offline methods to drive larger traffic and maximize the revenue on investment (ROI).

There is always a constant debate whether the online marketing methods give better results than offline marketing or vice versa. The online marketing methods take longer time to drive constant and decent traffic because they are coupled with the hard work of keyword research and optimization, writing articles and blogs, making and posting videos and getting engaged in forums. But, once you establish this momentum of online advertising, it is there to last forever and people will find you anytime. The offline methods, on the other hand, are less work and give quicker result. But, you need to use them effectively so it does not cost you much investment and slow your online optimization work.

My recommendation is to integrate both to get the most traffic. The more methods you can apply simultaneously the better the outcome. If you are promoting a new website, I would dedicate more time on offline marketing. I would even stick to the cheap methods like postcards, flyers and door hangers because they can create massive response in a short period. Then, after couple of months, I would shift my efforts more towards the online methods because of their longevity. I would limit the offline marketing to using business cards, car magnets and occasionally attending business briefing or seminars since they are cheap methods, you can do it yourself and require minimal effort and time.

When you become an affiliate you have to keep in mind that you have to follow two golden rules of the industry:

* The first rule to keep in mind at all time is: content rules. Making your own content and come up with quality stuff is the first thing you should learn when you start to be affiliate. Bringing surfers to look at your website is not easy but it’s not that hard also, but making them read more than a couple of lines is a bit harder task.

* The second most important thing to look for is: building links that point to pages on your web site and benefits you by bouncing you up in SERP. Only links of relativity to your topic web pages will make the job, otherwise you will not be credited by the search engines, the thing you should avoid at all costs.

How to get it started

Make detailed research to pick a niche market, identify strong topics to write about and start writing. To build up your site 10 articles will be quite enough as when you find your own style and get necessary writing skills you always could add some more valuable content.
