Basic Outline For Cross Cultural Online Marketing

Cross cultural researchers have studied different behavioral values in different cultures. Geert Hofstede researched this a few decades ago and came out with a basic outline for people interested in multicultural marketing.

And these different behavioral values are outlined extensively in the book The Culturally Customized Web Site, which discusses cross cultural online marketing.

What Are The Different Cultural Behaviors You Can Market To?

Basically, The Culturally Customized Web Site outlines that different cultures have different ways of behaving along 5 different scales.

High Individualism versus High Collectivism Behavior High versus Low Uncertainty Avoidance Behavior High versus Low Power Distance Behavior High Masculinity versus High Femininity Behavior High versus Low Context Behavior

These different behavior scales can be used by international internet marketers. Marketing aimed towards these particular behavioral needs gives internet marketers tools to play with. Marketing can be tweaked for one culture to get better responses from different countries and cultures.

This is especially helpful, if you are marketing to another country at the opposite end of one or more of these scales to your country. Simply imagine the change between a High Individualism culture and High Collectivism culture.

How Cross Cultural Study Can Help You?

Studying these 5 different behavioral values in your different cultural markets can give you valuable international marketing insights and can be useful in identifying:

The best overall communication strategy to invest in. How best to stimulate market feedback. How best to create loyalty. The most appropriate social media to use in each country. The best way to build your authority status in a country. The sales argument most likely to work. The types of guarantees you need to highlight.

The Culturally Customized Web Site is careful to mention that you need to emphasize the key elements that speak more to the culture you are targeting. But this does not mean you should leave out the other elements that pull more weight in other cultures.

Internet marketing has no set rules. It is all about testing your particular market. It should not be surprising that international internet marketing is the same.

Which Cross Cultural Marketing Is Essential To Be Done In Your Target Country?

Good cross cultural online marketing must also take into account two other things:

Cultural Perception of environment, language and color Cultural Symbolism with regards to country specific symbols, icons and color

This is something you cannot use internet marketing tactics to help you test.
The differences in cultural perception and cultural symbolism requires specific a cultural background. It is best to give this task to a professional currently living in your target country.

If you do not have the means to do this, pay particular attention to your international market feedback. Get on the phone and ask people in your target country what they think about your website.

Cultural Behavioral Research Helps Online Marketing

The research done in cultural behavioral values has helped traditional international marketing. Internet marketers can also use this research to help develop their international markets.

Easy testing and tracking gives internet marketing more scope to refine different cultural approaches and improve international results.

MLM Online Marketing Secrets Revealed

MLM online marketing is bar none one of the most powerful ways to grow your business into exponential momentum. The internet has tools that can leverage your time immensely, far beyond what you could do alone with just a phone or even a few Upline and Downline members. MLM online marketing can free up so much of your time and the crazy thing is.. with just two people working together they have created more leverage than their is time in a year.

How?

Simple.

MLM online marketing has tools that leverage! These tools are things like automatic relationship builders through services such as Aweber. Passive lead generation so you’re only talking with people that are actually interested in what you have to offer, instead of drilling the numbers game over and over again. And an infinite amount of ways to find new highly targetted leads.

The biggest secret though when it comes to MLM online marketing is how to build a relationship with someone via the internet. Most people will not trust you right away even though they may raise their hands to hear more from you. How you get around this is by using an autoresponder that sends out messages to your leads over time.

These messages range from personal, to experiential, to about your business. Only now and again do you ever even give them the link to sign up or buy an informational product from you unless they entered that funnel specifically.

Overtime your list will grow and become attached to you. They will see you as even more than just a leader, they may even see you as a friend. It is not uncommon for me to have gotten messages of thanks from readers of my own newsletter. People have even told me they save my emails because of how much value I offer them.

The comparison and power of MLM online marketing versus traditional is very uplifting and very different. A great alternative for those who wish to become truly successful in this amazing industry.

Online Network Marketing Business – How to Avoid the Humiliation of Failure

I find it kind of frustrating when I see network marketers trying to market their online network marketing business in the offline world. They do all the traditional methods which their up-line advises them to do. These include making long, stretched out two-three hour presentations to their friends and family as well as calling hundreds of complete strangers with the hopes that maybe a couple will be interested in their online network marketing business opportunity.

These methods have probably worked in the past. There is no other way I can think of for why their up-line would be advising them to do this. Everyone (at least everyone successful) in this industry knows that they will go as their down-line goes. As they succeed, so will you.

So yes, I am sure these methods of lead generation worked in the past. They might still work right now to a certain extent. But the whole idea of making presentations and cold calling seems so inefficient considering their extremely low conversion rates.

Wouldn’t a better use of your time and energy be towards actually mentoring your down-line so that they become very successful producers for you?

This industry is all about leverage. It is not about doing everything 100% yourself. It is about coaching your down-line so that they may be successful, resulting in you profiting from 20% of your work and 80% on the work of others. This may seem like I advising you to take advantage of others. That is absolutely NOT what I am saying. If you are making a solid income from the efforts of your down-line, that means that they themselves are also profiting very well. What I am trying to say is that you should not be trying to go against the make-up of the online network marketing business. This is exactly what you are doing by trying to generate leads in the offline world.

The best thing to do is move all of your lead generation efforts online. This way you will be able to set up multiple campaigns that, after some testing and tweaking, will generate targeted leads for you on auto-pilot. This is a beautiful way to eliminate the grunt work in your business so you can focus on aspects that really matter.
